Char-Char Bag by Siah Swag

Students will construct a handbag using intermediate techniques. Past experience is needed in order to participate in this class. Not recommended for beginners.

Jerry Sneaker Class by Uhoh Creations

Class Admission Fee: $150
Students will construct sneakers (we will complete at least one shoe in class with time to continue on the second) using rubber soles, fabric, foam, waxed thread, sewing awl, eyelets, etc. All students must provide their own material (cotton, waxed canvas, vinyl, bonded poly, etc...anything goes) and foam. Group kit orders will be offered for tools, soles, etc.
You will need to download the free pattern, and purchase and prep your fabrics.

Practice those bag binding skills with this hands on workshop. We will cover types of binding, how to make your own, and tips for achieving a professional finish.
Bring your domestic machine, 2 squares of cotton fabric measuring 14"x14", rotary cutter and mat, matching thread and bobbins, and a variety of needles; either Universal or Microtex sizes 75/11 and 80/12.
Please also bring a project you are working on that is ready for binding (if you have one). We will discuss tips on binding different materials.

The Hinterland by Lavendar and Twine

Hinterland is a mix between a soft, slouchy bag, and a structured bag that stands on its own. It can be carried as a crossbody or a handbag and is the perfect mid range size. The interior has a uniquely constructed divider pocket with two slip pockets and a zipper in the middle. The distinctive shape of the Hinterland allows for a beautifully soft exterior while the bag gains all of its structure from the divider on the inside. The bucket shape of the bag paired with the two separate compartments allows you to hold whatever you may need, and easily find your items inside. Hinterland’s exterior can be made of thin, drapey vinyl, cork or even cotton with specific interfacing instructions inside the pattern to help you achieve the look of the bag no matter what material you choose.
